Vellari

A garden estate, coming this winter

Fifteen acres of lawn along the river, forty-two rooms, and a table worth crossing the city for. We open our gates in December.

Our Story

A house built around its garden

Long before it was a hotel, this was a garden — four generations of banyan, champa and mango trees, and a lawn that has hosted weddings since before Kanpur had streetlights.

We've built forty-two rooms and a restaurant around what was already here, the old trees kept exactly where they stood. What's new is quieter: better beds, a proper kitchen, water that runs hot.
